Introduction to cost of Full Mouth Denture Implants
The full mouth dentures, the treatment for a patient with no teeth at all, were mostly made with dental implants applied to the upper and lower jaw bones.
The cost of full mouth denture implant treatment was applied abroad because it was too expensive in America. Trabzone, Ukraine, and Bulgaria were chosen because they were close to Turkey and health services are cheaper.
As a general comment, it is useful to let you know that treatment is done at the most suitable price.
However, it is not always correct to solve health problems at the most affordable prices because the patient’s health is at stake. The risk for the patient can be greater later because the post-surgical care, the implant used, and the standard dental instruments used during the treatment cannot be guaranteed.
Full mouth denture implant treatment was investigated within the study’s body. It was tried to be demonstrated which country has the most suitable and quality service prices for this treatment. It is time to compare the prices of both countries with a symbolic patient. There are a few assumptions before we give this table. It is the treatment price of the relevant treatment, respectively.
The treatment belonging to the first assumption is 20 titanium home full implants placed on two jaws with bone parti. A porcelain-based zirconium porcelain was used to put the implant.
The materials used in the study are determined as transparent and quality adjustment mechanisms. The criteria as patient plan are price, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. Although full-mouth denture implant patients are very few in the scope of treatment, the objective is to reveal the most accurate pricing policy by comparing these two countries from among today’s practices. For this purpose, this study employs Content Analysis, which helps to transform qualitative data into quantitative data through coding. Official hospital websites and/or results of telephone calls are based on Content Analysis to see the full mouth denture implant treatment page, clinic’s address, number, and telephone number in both Turkey and Ukraine and the content of their web page in these two categories.
Moreover, price categories of denture type and dental combination price as patient plan, treatment page, hygiene, bed number, and quality page are related. Data are analyzed according to countries and variables of denture types, and results are shared with frequencies, percentages, and cross tables.
In the discussion section, benefits and further research are provided on behalf of potential opportunities and challenges for full-mouth denture patients. The study estimates that an informative comparison of Turkey and Ukraine’s full mouth denture treatment, pricing, and communicative abilities can be a contribution to the literature on quality and price adjustments regarding customer needs and hospital strategies in two emerging markets. 2. Factors Influencing Cost Variation in Germany and Turkey
Factors Influencing Cost Variation in Germany and Turkey
Many factors influence the variation in the costs of full mouth dental implant-supported prosthetics (FMB HIDP) in Germany and Turkey.
- GETRA special tours have participated in multiple congresses and organized many site visits at three major ICDs in Turkey in the last year.
- Since they are one of the few countries offering high-quality and affordable FMB HIDP opportunities, we believe it might be beneficial for candidates living in Germany to obtain information about the processes.
- Before going into details of these cost differences, let’s briefly summarize which elements cause these differences.
- Each step of full-mouth dental implant-supported prosthetics (FMB HIDP) treatment includes several factors affecting treatment costs.
- These stages are treatment planning, prosthetic manufacturing, the choice of an implant system and the prosthetic material, in-mouth time, and the cost of labor and equipment.
- The high costs of living, renting commercial and residential spaces, taxes, hygiene standards and employee wages in Germany are some of the largest factors affecting this treatment.
- The exchange rates in Germany, Turkey, and China, and the standard currency used in certain procedures, as well as additional costs arising from the travel, consulate procedures, and hotel and meal expenses, are the most important general factors affecting the difference between the Turkey and Germany FMB HIDP costs. Two factors specific to Germany are the long duration of the planning and unsupported FMB HIDP manufacturing at the specific professional systems.
- Therefore, Germany needs to complete the process in several sessions and use high-quality dental implant and prosthetic systems throughout the process at ICDs which typically have higher investments and service expenses.

Quality and Standards of Dental Care in Germany and Turkey
Dental Education and Training
The quality of dental care in the country a dentist has been trained has always been important. Well known for their discipline and ideal learning environment, German dental clinics and dentists have specific standards of educational qualifications, steady professional development, and continuous learning. Dentists earn their skills during the six-year dental program. The ones who have completed the program can practice as a dentist for a couple of years. After completing their education and getting qualified, they can specialize in different areas such as oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontist, orthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and prosthodontics.
Minimum Age of Dental Implantology
There are no specific laws or regulations regarding the minimum age for dental implantology in Germany yet, as it is stipulated in Turkey. Because of that, German clinics are free to decide on the best age when they evaluate mouth and bone development. It is a well-established fact that implants can only be done after bone and mouth development are completed, so German dentists and surgeons can choose to check whether development is over or not and to wait for the completion of development, and the decision for surgery only then.
There are no specific ages for dental implantology. Considering other health factors, no dentist performs dental implantology on patients who are too old or too young because a person should have a certain bone structure to have dental implants. No specific laws regulate the utilization of dental implants such as what is written in the Turkish Law Regarding Implantation of Devices to the Human Body. The Turkish Dental Law regarding dental care does not consist of any regulations where violations of this law would be defined. However, the regulation regarding full mouth prosthesis is a useful explanation for our subject: After bone and mouth development, results of patients who have total gum prosthesis are researched if these patients consume their meals with a normal chewing function, and then the patients are decided to have permanent dental prosthesis until the last part of bone formation. To provide satisfactory outcomes in dental prosthesis treatments for young patients with missing teeth due to congenital causes, appropriate age should aid optimal skeletal development (including development of the mandible) and maturity, ideal level of psychological maturity, favorable financial conditions, and patient and family cooperation.
Conclusion and Recommendations
Total tooth loss significantly impairs the masticatory function and aesthetics of the patient, causing other health problems. These problems can be eliminated by placing full mouth implant-supported dentures. All implant systems enable full-mouth dental prosthesis, but the patients and dentists want the most effective implant with cost operations. Because of the difference between the developed and developing countries achieved by the economic power, while wealthier individuals and states see this cost as easy, others have difficulty. From this point of view, it was aimed to compare the costs of full-mouth dental implants with different treatments in Turkey and Germany, which are of different socio-economic qualities.
In this context, the costs of full-mouth dental prosthesis applications were compared according to different regional cultures and their representations with the exchange rates of Turkish Lira and Euro. In the comparison, the applications of 4 European and 4 Turkish companies were analyzed for 16 patients. According to the data obtained, it was observed that the costs of implant and infrastructure elements in Turkey rates out Germany. The poorest statements from the adverse procedures included fees related to prosthesis teeth. It has been stated that the costs of full mouth implant prosthesis applications vary considerably with the competitors (Germany, Turkey) of countries.
